Jamie Ward began her career as a dancer and then dance instructor. She completed a comprehensive Pilates training with Diane Diefenderfer at Studio de Corps in Orange County, California in 2001. She studied for over 18 months with Diane and then went on to teach at several locations in Rancho Santa Fe, California. She spent 18 months as an instructor and the director of Pilates at Frogs Club One in San Diego. At the same time she completed a two-month internship with IDEA in advanced post rehabilitation work.
In March 2005, Jamie opened Pilates Loft – focusing on creating a boutique-style studio in Lone Tree, Colorado. She has certifications in Pilates for Golf and has worked extensively with pre- and post-natal populations. Jamie believes in training her own staff. This gives the studio a synchronicity and consistency and allows clients to have the same experience no matter the instructor. Jamie finds inspiration in her own life, continuously working on her Pilates practice, while balancing the life of a working mom. When asked her favorite thing about doing Pilates – Jamie explains that she loves the choreography – but as a former dancer – that’s not hard to believe.
